Coding Projects

Proximity Racing

Motorsport racing team website. I built this for a race team I founded on iRacing.com, a motorsport simulation service to be used as a tool for professional racecar drivers.

Sorry!

Web application created in the CSE 477 course. Worked alongside team members to develop a fully functional Sorry! game. Supports multiplayer, joining lobbies, creating lobbies, registering a user, and logging in.

Connect 4

Mobile application created in the CSE 476 course. Worked alongside team members to develop a fully functional Connect 4 game. Supports multiplayer, joining lobbies, creating lobbies, registering a user, and logging in.

Tech Ops Training Content Management System

Web application created in my Capstone class. The purpose of this project was to develop a content management system for United Airlines technicians to use for browsing various technical categories on safety and aircraft maintenance. Supports multiple media formats and multiple devices. Has various levels of administrative capabilities for adding content to specific users watch list depending upon location, department, and much more. Finally, it has built in analytics to recommend content based on historical and user attributes.

SmartiFi

A student loan application built currently for students at Michigan State University. It is a dashboard for students to pay for loans, apply for loans and get approved almost instantly. If you want to learn more about how it works, check out this Medium article!

Serial Killer Quiz

A fun application I made over the Summer with my girlfriend. With her interest in psychology and my interest in computer science, we combined both of our brains to create a serial killer quiz app for Android devices. Currently, there are over 1000+ installs on Google Play.

World Time

Quick application I have made after learning Google's Flutter SDK. Uses MaterialApp for most of the UI. Can edit your location which makes a API call to receive time at location. Taught me a lot about the Dart language but was also nice to bring in some past ES6 syntax.

Automatic Fish Feeder

Quick fun controller I made with an Arduino device to setup a daily ration of fish food. Applied some engineering skills using common home supplies like cardboard to cut out a fish bowl lid with breathing holes, the top of a 2 liter coke bottle to hold the fish food, and a structural support to hold the churner, which was just a pen with a pivot on a servo motor. This was a more engineering-oriented project as opposed to code, but still was fun!

Solar Vehicle Project

Interesting project in my EGR 100 class my freshman year of college. Had to build a car out of wood, Styrofoam and plastic with a on-board solar panel. Goal was to have it travel across and path with a trailer attached to it.

Radioactive Decay

I built this Kongregate HTML game back in high school with a friend of mine for a final project for A.P. Chemistry. Funny story, I made the projectiles in the game too difficult so when we gave the presentation, we were hoping to smoothly get through the levels but ended up losing all three of our lives and having to start over. All in all, the class loved it and my teacher thought it was unique. Biggest regret? Putting my teachers gaming skills to the test.

ROBLOX

I used to build a variety of games on this site when I was younger. Lua is the first programming language that I learned. This game platform was designed to encourage young or old developers to create any game they wanted with the power of ROBLOX's built-in game engine.

Other Projects

Other projects can be found on my GitHub here!. I encourage you to go check them out!

Design Work

While my main expertise is focused on coding, I also love to do design work. I am self taught in many design applications such as Photoshop CS6, Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, and Cinema 4D. Below is some personal work I have done.

Education

Graduated from Michigan State University in May 2021. Throughout my course at the college, I was able to get hands on learning from a variety of clubs and activities on campus.

Clubs and Activities

Spartan Blockchain Solutions
Senior Blockchain Developer

Joined this club my freshman year after being inspired by a friend that works at Ford. He told me about the blockchain space and how it's growing rapidly. Finding this club and having no prior blockchain knowledge or experience, I decided to join to learn more about the technology. I have played a major role in the blockchain development that has taken place in this club, where I am on a project dealing with student loans (SmartiFi). I was also able to be apart of a team last year and give a pitch at the Spartan Blockchain Innovation Competition, where our team was able to win a $250 dollar prize for the best pitch.

MSU Fishing Club
Member

Growing up, I loved to go fishing with my dad. I lived on or near a lake my whole life, so seeing this club on campus really drawn my attention. There are weekly meetings talking about sponsors, upcoming trips, how to fish certain waters and species and much more. I have attended most of the fishing trips where we normally have a ice fishing trip and a steelhead trip up on the Pere Marquette river.

MSU Paranormal Society
Member

A very interesting club I joined my freshman year at MSU. At the time, I was skeptical about whether or not ghosts exist and I really wanted to know the truth. Being in the club, we have weekly meetings talking about a variety of things... from ghosts to cryptic to conspiracy theories. We even had a psychic come in once. Besides the meetings, I was able to attend a lot of the paranormal investigations. From Bath School to Pere Cheney to playing the role as a zombie in a haunted house, I had a lot of fun and learned a lot about the spiritual world.

Experience

I am very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to present myself within these companies. During my time at these companies, I was able to grab hands on learning on each companies' software methodologies and their release process. Being able to be fully immersed with the teams was by far the best part and the biggest learning experience I have gained so far. Here are the following companies I have worked for that deals with my computer science field.

Software Engineering EXCEL Intern
GPG TRACK Software Engineer (Current)
MSUFCU
